President’s Message February 2026

We have been Lucky to continue to have great winter riding weather through this early part of February, lets hope that it doesn’t hurt us too much water wise through the summertime. My apologies for the lateness of this months message, lots going on.

Chris, Scott, and I had the chance to go to the Mecum Antique Motorcycle show and auction the last part of January in Las Vegas, it was pretty awesome to watch the auction and view all the different years and modes of bikes there. That was my 1st experience at an auction like that, I will definitely go again.

Chris continues to update our Drifters website to help in attracting new members and anyone else that maybe looking at our site as we direct interested parties to the website that have interest in knowing who we are as a club.

A big thank you to David for leading the recent rides, this time of year tends to send us south so finding and executing these rides is more challenging to vary them up.

David let me know that he is having surgery in early March and will be unavailable to lead rides for a couple of months. We will need assistance with Thursday ride planning and also with ride captains to lead rides will he is out, I will do as much as I can, but all offered help will be gladly appreciated.

This months Drifters dinner is scheduled for February 21st at Panda Garden, please RSVP to Lynne at 435-691-55676 asap as this is always a well attended dinner and we want to make sure they have enough room set aside for us.

As I have mentioned before, I am planning on attending the following rallys this year if anyone is interested in going, contact me and we will coordinate.

Mayhem Motorcycle Rally, April 22-25 Bullhead City, Arizona

Panguitch Old Skool Rally, July 10-12 Panguitch, Utah

Four Corners Rally, September 3-6, Durango, Colorado

If any other members have suggestions for rallys to attend or overnight rides that might be fun, please let us know so that we can make some plans.

Just a heads up, I am helping plan the Freedom Rocks Poker Run for Veterans & Patriots being done by Utah Tech to support Veterans and Active Duty, its on 4/11 if anyone wants to ride with me.

Don’t forget about our weekly Drifters rides on Thursdays, watch for the weekly announcements and also Saturday morning meet ups at Del Taco at exit 2 by Sun River.
