May 2025 President’s Message

It’s May and it’s definitely time to ride!

I have heard that the group that went to the Mayhem Rally had a great if not breezy time, I can’t wait to hear about all the fun that was had, hopefully we have some stories to go along with this month’s club news.

I have been absent from the recent rides and events due to getting ready to open our new Del Taco by Sunriver, I am happy to say that it looks like its finally going to open this coming Wednesday, May 7th. We are very excited that the construction is finally over and we’re getting ready to greet all of our guests that have been eagerly waiting for us to open. After a few weeks of grand opening business, I should be back to being on rides and being an active participant of our club.

I did get out on the ride to Duck Creek earlier in the month that was really nice, perfect mountain riding weather.

Mike, we miss you! Please update us on how you are doing and your progress.

I would like to thank our ladies (Lynn & Dawn) who plan our monthly dinners and the effort that they put into finding a great place eat and enjoy Drifters company as a club. Unfortunately, the dinner they planned for earlier in April was not well attended for what ever reason and several of us that had reserved a spot (myself included) did not show and did not give them the courtesy of letting them know that we would not be attending. For this I give them my personal apology for not communicating. Let’s all make a better effort to both attend and communicate if we have issues that keep us from attending.

With the great riding weather upon us let’s consider inviting friends and neighbors out to rides with us. There are lots of other riders out there that are looking for a group to ride with that would fit in perfect with us, if they knew we were here.

Upcoming:

Every Thursday is our Drifters ride day, Dave and Scott have been doing an awesome job of finding great places to go and I really look forward to the mountain riding that starts coming up this time of year.

Each Saturday there is a meet up at Zion Harley with other riders to promote tall tales, coffee, and usually a ride for lunch.

I will send out other Rally and event news for the summer months within the next week.

I hope to see you all soon, and stop and see me at our new Del Taco beginning Wednesday May 7th.
