Presidents Message
It sure started heating up in June and made us start running for the mountains to try to stay cool, but thats also some of the most scenic rides we get to enjoy.
I missed about 3 rides in a row as we had to attend grandkids graduations and took some time to ourselves in California. We got to enjoy the wine country around Napa, Clearlake, Monterey, and Lake Tahoe.
We are truly blessed to have David and his ride committee to plan and execute our rides. it is truly great to know where, when, and how we are going somewhere and I really appreciate the time put into planning each weeks ride. Keep up the great work.
Dinner at Panda garden was wonderful and well attended and the food was awesome, this was my 1st time eating there. I believe we had about 25 people in attendance.
I am hearing that there are some awesome plans in the works for this years Christmas party and it sounds like its going to be one to remember.
Thanks to all that attended the Bikes and Burgers event on this last Saturday at the Meadows at Escalante Care Center, it was well appreciated by the residents, I wish I could’ve been there.
I also missed the biker movie and after lunch last Friday, someone needs to let me know how that was. I still need to go to see the movie if anyone wants to go sometime this week.
The Old Skool Bike Rally in Panguitch is just around the corner, July 11-14th. I’m told that there are still camp sites and rooms available if you still want to attend. My family and I will be holding an informal BBQ dinner on Saturday following the Poker run and then going to the festivities at the fairgrounds after that. It would be great to see a big Drifters turn out for the Poker run on Saturday, even if you’re not able to stay over.
Don’t forget about the Saturday meet ups at Harley for doughnuts and coffee that is usually followed up by a short ride to lunch.
Please remember to invite anyone along on our Thursday rides and to club functions that you think might enjoy our group and would like to participate.
